Nova Scotia Demand: Canada Express Entry allowed for Category-A, paused for Category-B

We are not accepting any more applications forms for Category-B (for aspirants with experience in an opportunity occupation) of Nova Scotia Demand: Canada Express Entry at this time.

Category-A (for aspirants with a job offer) remains open.

Canada Express Entry stream picks highly skilled individuals who want to live in Nova Scotia forever. Candidates must have a great chance of immediately finding a job in Nova Scotia’s labor market.

The Nova Scotia Office of Migration reserves the right to consider only particular types of occupations for a nomination, depending on current labour market demands.

ELIGIBILITY

To apply under Category-A, you need:

own a profile filed in Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Express Entry Program;
score 67 points or more on the stream’s 6 selection factors;
should a full-time permanent skilled job offer from a Nova Scotia employer. For a job offer to be valid in Canada Express Entry and earn points, employers will normally need an LMIA from ESDC. There are a some exceptions: cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/exempt.asp;
have one year of skilled work experience associated to the job;
should a Canadian high school credential or equivalent;
show language proficiency in English or French at CLB 7;
show sufficient financial support to live in Nova Scotia successfully.

To apply under Category-B, you need:

own a profile registered in IRCC Express Entry system;
score 67 points or more on the stream’s 6 selection factors;
should at least 1 year of skilled work experience in one of our target occupations;
have a Canadian high school credential or equivalent;
show language ability in English or French at Canadian Language Benchmark 7;
show enough financial resources to live in Nova Scotia successfully.
